36th Remembrance of the L'Ambiance Plaza Collapse

Thirty-six years ago on April 23, the L'Ambiance Plaza in Bridgeport collapsed. In just 5 seconds, we lost 28 construction workers that day. 

The collapse is still the worst construction disaster in the history of Connecticut. 

The Fairfield County Labor Chapter, Fairfield County Building Trades, CT State Building Trades, and Connecticut AFL-CIO continue to pay tribute to the deceased, their families, and the first responders and rescue and recovery workers of the L’Ambiance Plaza collapse.

Organized labor and its allies continue to fight for safer workplaces. We owe it to all those, and their families who have needlessly been injured, became ill or died while doing their jobs.
