Join ConnectiCOSH on Monday, March 25, at 5 pm, as we remember the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire, one of the worst workplace tragedies in the history of the United States. One hundred and thirteen years ago, 146 were killed as they tried to flee a fast-moving fire but were unable to do so because of locked doors, damaged fire escapes and fire equipment that couldn’t reach their floors. The tragedy initiated a whirlwind of reform in areas such as fire safety in workplaces, overall treatment of workers and the number of hours that women and children could work.

Please join us as we commemorate what was lost during this tragedy, what lessons have been learned from it and what lessons still need to be learned?
