Nurses at Windham Hospital are going on strike!

Starting this Thursday, members of the Windham Federation of Professional Nurses will go on strike if they are unable to resolve contract negotiations before then.

Join patients, their families and the community to show these dedicated caregivers that we have their backs at a rally on the second morning of picketing:

Action: Windham Hospital Strike Rally: “Patients Before Profits”
Date/Time: Friday, September 23 beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Location: Outside Windham Community Memorial Hospital, 112 Mansfield Ave, Willimantic, CT 06226
Parking: Plenty of free street parking available
RSVP: Click here to RSVP on Facebook

Conditions at Windham Hospital are becoming unsafe. Overworking our nurses and health professionals beyond their scheduled shifts risks burn out and negative patient outcomes. Forcing mandatory overtime isn’t just unfair, it produces fatigue and exhaustion that put patients and co-workers at risk.

If Friday morning won't work for you, plan to come walk the picket line with Windham nurses anytime during the two-day strike. The strike will begin on Thursday, Sept. 22, at 7:00 a.m. and run through Saturday, Sept. 24, at 7:00 a.m.
