Red for Bread: Support Starbucks Baristas Fight for a First Contract

Over two years ago, the baristas at the Corbin's Corner Starbucks in West Hartford won their union but they are still fighting to win their first contract. We stood with them when they were organizing and we will continue to stand with them until they win a contract!

As union Starbucks workers head into their next round of bargaining, Starbucks Workers United (SBWU) is asking allies to join their Red for Bread action on Sunday, Sept. 22, to show these workers we still have their backs.

We are at a critical moment in the fight for Starbucks workers. With your help and the amazing organizing of baristas across the country, SBWU was able to get the company to a major milestone this spring, allowing the union to start negotiating a foundational framework for first contracts. 

Joining these actions has become increasingly vital to maintaining unity at the unionized stores as they move into the more difficult aspects of the contract. With some workers quitting since the organizing drive and new workers coming in, it's important they see they're not alone in this fight.
