IAM Local 700 Members to Donate $1,500 to “Meals on Wheels” Program in Middletown

On Wednesday, February 22, at 2:00 PM, leaders and members of the International Association of Machinists (IAM) Local 700 will donate $1,500 to the “Meals on Wheels” program in Middletown, which delivers lunches and dinners to homebound senior citizens. Officials with the nonprofit Community Renewal Team, which administers the meal delivery program, will take receipt of the donations.

After reading reports about a reduction in the “Meals on Wheels” program, which was cut from delivering food five days a week to only three days a week, members of IAM Local 700 decided to step up and help raise money to bring more meals to Middletown’s seniors.

IAM Local 700 has approximately 1,200 members working at the Pratt & Whitney facility located in Middletown, CT.
