On Thursday, April 24 at 11 a.m. in Legislative Office Building Room 2A, the co-chairs of the Public Health Committee and the Connecticut AFL-CIO will host a training event, educating attendees on how to properly use overdose reversal drugs including naloxone (commonly known as the brand name Narcan).

Following brief introductions from the AFL-CIO Health and Safety Committee Co-Chair Kyle Zimmer, the Public Health Chairs and members of regional organizations dedicated to fighting the opioid crisis in Connecticut, this event will offer information on the importance of overdose reversal drugs in saving lives and how these drugs should be administered to an individual in crisis.

At the end of the training, attendees will get a free naloxone kit and Deterra Pouches.

We hope you can attend this meeting – what you learn could save a life!
