The United Labor Agency, the community affiliate of the Connecticut AFL-CIO, will be hosting a Plant Nite Fundraiser to benefit their “Labor of Love Backpack Program” which provides healthy meals to 67 families throughout Connecticut. For some students, the only meals they get are the ones they have at school and they will sometimes go hungry over the weekend. The Backpack Program provides child-friendly, nonperishable foods for the weekend so no one has to go hungry.
