The working and middle classes in our country are under attack from far-right billionaires. Here in Connecticut, we are fighting for a better future, a future where working people can build a life of dignity and security. We know the power of a good union job.
But we need tools to fight for this future. That’s why we are pushing our elected officials to stand with working people and support unemployment insurance for striking workers!
Passing this legislation will mean workers know they can strike without fearing that they will be starved out by their employers, leveling the playing field at the negotiating table.
Unfortunately, Gov. Lamont is already threatening to veto the bill! We need your help to bring the fight to the State Capitol as we rally for a workers' agenda!
This bill is part of our agenda to protect working people from the far-right billionaires who are doing everything they can to take away our union rights, our wages, and our healthcare so that they can put more money in the pockets of the 1%.
