USW Informational Walk for a Fair Contract

Workers at the Water Authority in New Haven have been working without a union contract for months and continue to face intractable bosses at the negotiating table.

Management wants to weaken when the workers can get overtime while at the same time proposing mandatory overtime. That’s on top of company proposals to shift more of the cost of health care onto the workers, continuing to try to outsource their work, and refusing to negotiate the impact of implementing artificial intelligence in the workplace.

The workers, who are members of USW Local 12160, have had enough.

They are holding an informational walk on Thursday to demand the South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority bargain a fair contract with the workers!
