On Thanksgiving, a dozen members of Sheet Metal Workers Local 40, an affiliate of the Connecticut State Building and Construction Trades Council, are volunteering to cook and serve Thanksgiving dinner for approximately 50 residents in a senior housing center in Hartford.

HARTFORD – Leaders in the Connecticut State Building Trades Council and officers of the Connecticut AFL-CIO sent a jointly signed letter this morning to the state Senate and House Democratic Caucuses urging them to pass legislation to implement electronic tolling as quickly as possible.

Sal Luciano, President of the Connecticut AFL-CIO, issued the following statement in response to the success the General Assembly had improving the lives of working people during the 2019 legislative session:

The Connecticut AFL-CIO officially endorsed electronic tolling at their executive board meeting earlier this week.
