The victories we saw in close races were fueled by the work of hundreds of union volunteers who knocked doors, made phone calls, sent mail, and made worksite visits.

LEDYARD – Delegates to the Connecticut AFL-CIO’s Fourteenth Biennial Political Convention today endorsed the following candidates. An asterisk signifies that a candidate is an active or retired union member.

"The labor movement is incredibly grateful to the Representatives that voted to protect workers from employer intimidation and harassment during union organizing campaigns,” said Ed Hawthorne, President of the Connecticut AFL-CIO.

Twelve workers at FuelCell Energy in Danbury voted this morning to join Operating Engineers Local 478, the first successful union organizing drive at this company in the country.
